What is NAR?

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) is a trade association that represents real estate professionals in the United States. It was founded in 1908 and is currently headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

The primary mission of the NAR is to advocate for policies and legislation that support the real estate industry and promote homeownership. The organization provides a variety of services and resources to its members, including educational opportunities, networking events, market data and analysis, and legal and regulatory guidance. The main mls in our area is OneKey. OneKey has roughly 50,000 users.

The NAR is also responsible for administering the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), which is a database of property listings and sales information used by real estate agents across the country. The MLS allows real estate professionals to share information about properties and work together to facilitate transactions.

In addition to advocating for the real estate industry, the NAR is also involved in philanthropic activities through its Realtor Relief Foundation, which provides financial assistance to victims of disasters and other crises.
